Ball Valve – KHD-FSB11

With precision-machined fire safe lip and grahite sealing, these API 607, ISO 10497 Fire Safe approved ball valves offer increased safety for the most demanding applications.

One-piece ball valves are made out of one body piece.
This means that the valve cannot be disassembled for cleaning.
However, there is a low risk of leakage because there are no body joints.
The advantage is that the valve will be low cost and robust.

Threaded ball valves contain internal and external threads to facilitate inlet and outlet connections.

Fire safe ball valves are designed to minimize fugitive emissions and downstream leakage when exposed to high temperatures during fires.
They differ from other industrial ball valves by remaining operable, or at least failing in a predictable manner, when exposed to high temperatures.

No mounting pad

These valves are without an ISO mounting interface.
This means that you need a bracket and drive dog to mount the actuator to the valve.

Certifications

  • API 607 Fire Test or Soft Seated
    Quarter Turn Valves
  • Canadian Registration Number
  • ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
    Explosive Prevention

Standards

  • Valve body and end cap connections are high quality investment cast. Stainless steel can be special processed with anneal, and carbon steel can be normalized, both are upon request. Other valve components, such as valve body, end cap, and stem, are produced to follow the ASME and other international regulations. All the valves are factory tested to meet API and MSS standards to ensure the quality of the valves.

Body Material

  • ASTM CF8M, CF8, WCB
    (DIN 1.4408. 1.4308, 1.0619)

Pressure Rating

  • 2000 psi (138 bar) WOG
  • 150 psi (10 bar) with saturated steam

Temperature Range

  • -40°F to 350°F (-40°C to 180°C) with TFM 1600 seat
  • -4°F to 350°F (-20°C to 180°C) with PTFE/RPTFE seat

End Connection

  • Female pipe thread that meets NPT, DIN 259/2999, and BS21 standard. FSB 11 does not have butt-welding and socket-welding connections. For more end connection, please contact with our sales representatives.

Blowout-Proof Design

  • The stem is installed from the bottom-entry direction instead of top-bottom. This prevents stem to shoot out during unexpected accident, and further provides a safer valve using environment. This design is widely used in DIE ERSTE’s ball valves.
